Although it is one of the more difficult languages to learn, the Language of Japan<\/a> is now the 9th most-spoken language in the world and the third-largest language on the Internet. Thanks to the massive popularity of anime and manga series and the distinctiveness of Japanese Culture and Art, more and more people around the globe are applying to Learn Japanese Language Online<\/a> and offline. Now, you may be among the many people who are Learning Japanese or want to Learn Japanese Language<\/a>. One essential tool at your disposal to enhance your Japanese language skills is the Kanji dictionary.<\/p>\n

In this article, we are going to show you where and how to use the Kanji dictionary.<\/p>\n

But, before we dive deeper, let\u2019s familiarise ourselves with the Japanese Writing System<\/a>, shall we?<\/p>\n

There are three basic Japanese Writing Systems<\/h2>\n

  3. Kanji (\u6f22\u5b57)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    While Hiragana is usually used to write grammatical and functional words like particles, Kanji is used to write adverbs, verbs, nouns, and adjectives. Katakana is used for loan words such as names of animals, food, or companies.<\/p>\n

    What is Kanji?<\/h3>\n

    As mentioned above, Kanji is one of the three basic Japanese writing styles used to write adverbs, verbs, nouns, and adjectives. With more than 50,000 Kanji characters, they can be classified as Pictographic, Indicative, and Compound characters. It usually takes 4 to six weeks to learn Kanji in a proper Japanese learning school. To pass at least the N5 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), a student must know about 100 Kanji.<\/p>\n
